Arsenal v Portsmouth: Arsenal's impressive start to the season continued with a 4-1 victory over struggling Portsmouth. The goals came from Diaby(2), Gallas got his 3rd in three games and Aaron Ramsey finished the rout. Portsmouth's goal came from Younes Kaboul.

Birmingham v Stoke: Newly promoted Birmingham and Stoke played out a0-0 draw to share the points. This ,by the way, is the first draw of this years Premier League.

Hull v Bolton: Hull got their first win of the season against Bolton at home courtesy of a goal from new signing Kamel Ghilas. Final score was 1-0

Man City v Wolves: City continued their fantastic home form from last season today with a 1-0 over new boys Wolves. The goals came from Adebayor, but in truth it could have been six or seven.

Sunderland v Blackburn:
Sunderland game from a goal down to claim all three points this afternoon. The visitors took the lead through Gael Givet, but two goals from Kenwyne Jones gave Sunderland a 2-1 victory.


Wigan v Man Utd: Manchester United looked to bounce back from a disappointing defeat to Burnley midweek to trounce Wigan 0-5 at the DW Stadium. It was a tight contest until Wayne Rooney broke the deadlock after 56 minutes, and further goals from Rooney, Berbatov, Owen and Nani gave United an emphatic victory.

After today's fixtures Arsenal sit on top of the table on goal difference, with everyone bar West Ham, Fulham, Aston Villa and Everton playing at least two games.
