Manchester United and Liverpool (again) lose, plus Mark Hughes set to leave Manchester City

Saturday, December 19, 2009

It's been some weekend of football so far.

Fulham produced one of their performances over the past few years to stun Manchester United player, staff and fans. 3-0 was the final result, with Bobby Zamora scoring two and was Fulham's best player. A surprise call up for the England World Cup squad? He can also play for Trinidad & Tobago in case you were wondering.

Also a great day for bottom club Portsmouth who got a fantastic result at home to Liverpool. the final score was 2-0, with Belhadj and Piquionne got the goals in what dented Liverpool's hopes to make the top four, with both Tottenham (0-2) and Aston Villa(1-0) winning against Blackburn and Stoke.

Along with this, it has just been confirmed that Mark Hughes has left Manchester City, to be replaced by Roberto Mancini. An interesting day so far? I love Christmas.
