Drogba and Bosingwa ban's gets reduced.

Wednesday, July 15, 2009

Chelsea players Didier Droba and Jose Bosingwa have had their European bans reduced by one game each, meaning the Ivory coast star will miss the first three games of the Champions League, and the Portugal wing back will miss the first two.

The bans were handed to the two players after their reaction to defeat to Barcelona in the Champions League semi-final last season. Drogba himself threw a hissy fit after the game, letting the referee and his officials know what he thought of their performance, he also shouted into the camera which went out live on TV. Bosingwa was also banned for the comments he made about the referee's performance, but only received a three game ban, one less than Drogba's four. The news will come as good news for the Chelsea staff and faithful.

Salzburg v Bohemians. 15-July-09
On a different note, I would like to wish Bohemians the best of luck when they play Salzburg tonight, in the second round of the Champions League. Bohemians, who play the Austrian team in the Red Bull arena tonight and then again in Dailymount next Wednesday 22-July-09, are currently top of the Irish league by five points.
