Fiorentina interested in out of favour Eboue

Saturday, July 25, 2009

Italian side Fiorentina have rekindled their interest in Arsenal's versatile Ivorian Emmanuel Eboue. Eboue, who had a shocking season with the Gunner's last year, was targeted by Fiorentina firstly as part of an exchange for Brazilian star Felipe Melo, who since moved to Juventus, but the Italian side are still interested in the out of favour Gunner.

Eboue was once a fan favourite at the Emirates, and was once one of the most promising wing backs in the Premiership, but since the arrival of Bacary Sagna, Eboue moved to the right wing position but often failed to impress and was even booed by his own fans are a shocking display.

In my opinion, Arsene Wenger would be crazy not to accept any sort of cash offer from any club. Eboue clearly lacks confidence and in my opinion, he is not worthy of a place on the Arsenal team. Fiorentina are thought to be considering an offer of in the region of £6 million.
