Ibrahimovic - Eto'o swap deal edges closer

Thursday, July 23, 2009
Barcelona's offer of £45 million plus Samuel Eto'o for Zlatan Imbrahimovic had edged one step closer after the Barcelona striker stated that he agreed personal terms with Italian club Inter Milan.

The Cameroon international was offered as a part of a massive offer from the Catalans for Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The deal, which also includes Alexander Hleb joining Milan on loan for the season, was held up when Eto'o could not agree terms with the Italian giants but it now seems a deal has been struck in what will be, in my opinion, a great deal for Inter Milan.

"All the details have been filed."

As well as receiving £45 million for Ibrahimovic, Inter will also get a proven goalscorer in Eto'o , as well as strength in depth with the addition of Hleb who can be a very effective player. In my opinion, Ibrahimovic is very over-rated, and the way he plays is Berbatov-Esq. Iv seen him play on numerous occasions and he has often seemed lazy and sluggish, although their is no doubt he has the ability I think he will need to work harder for the team is he is ever to be considered as a world class striker.
