Chelsea have been told they will have to meet Sergio Aguero's get-out-clause of £50 million if they are to have any chance of landing the Argentine youngster. They will also have to make the offer pretty quickly, as Aguero is set to play against Panathinaikos tonight in Atletico Madrids Champions League qualifier, and of course if Chelsea were to sign him after he would be cup-tied for the Champions League.

Of course Atletico do not want to let go of their prize asset, and will do anything to keep him but if a bid of £50 is made they will have no choice but to accept under the rules of Aguero's contract. I'm sure that all Atletico Madrid's fans would be devastated to lose Aguero so close to the new season. But Ancelotti will be desperate to land at least one major signing this summer, after losing out on Brazilian ace Kaka and French star Frank Ribery.

To be honest, if Chelsea were to sign Aguero they would be my favourites for the Premier League. Imagine Aguero and Drogba up front, it would be a mouth-watering strike force.
