City not giving up of Lescott

Friday, August 21, 2009

Manchester City boss Mark Hughes has today confirmed he is still keen to sign Everton defender Joleon Lescott after reports suggested he had given up on the England international. Lescott was dropped for Everton's European clash with Sigma Olomouc after Moyes has issues with Lescott's attitude.

"When we feel there is nowhere else to go and it is not going to happen, then we will walk away''.

Lescott has been constantly linked away from Everton this summer, with Everton rejected numerous bids from City, and in my opinion Moyes needs to accept the next off from the Sky Blues as Lescott won't be happy until he is wearing a Manchester City jersey. The defender would be likely to bring in a huge amount of money, in around £18 million, for me that would be a fair price fro both clubs.
