Real insure Ronaldo's legs

Tuesday, August 4, 2009

Spanish giants Real Madrid have splashed the cash once again but this time not on a new signing. The Galacticos today insured Cristiano Ronaldo's legs for a sum of 100 million euro. Ronaldo moved to Madrid for a record fee of 94 million euro.

Of course, Madrid would be devastated if the Portuguese star suffered a career threatening injury, so they insured the wingers legs so that if the event ever occurred they would receive 100 million euro is damages, even more than the Galacticos payed for the Player of the Year.

Out of all Madrid signings this year, Ronaldo has been by far most celebrated by the fans. They should hope that Kaka's, Benzema's, Albiol's and possibly Alonso's legs don't feel unloved.
