Heskey ready to quit Villa

Monday, October 12, 2009

Emile Heskey has admitted that he might have to quit Aston Villa in order to make the England World Cup squad for next year. The striker has been moved down in the Aston Villa pecking order at Aston Villa, behind Agbonlahor and Carew, but has still managed to stay a first choice in the England team.

England boss Fabio Capell0 has admitted than any player not playing regular football for their club will not make his squad for the 2010 World Cup. Heskey, being 31, realises next years World Cup will be his last chance to win the most prestigious award in World football.

''If things don't change, I will have to think about my next move but you would have to ask the Villa manager why I'm in the England team and not is''.

Heskey moved from Wigan last year for £3.5 Million as a replacement for John Carew, and in my opinion, it was the worst mistake he could of made. Surely he knew Carew would be back soon and would eventually fall down in the pecking order.
