Arsenal can't lose Fabregas

Thursday, February 11, 2010

Another year, another rumour about Cesc Fabregas' future. The young Spaniard has been linked yet again with a move away from The Emirites, with Barcelona apparently leading the chase for Arsenal's key player.

Fabregas, Arsenal's top scorer this season, has always been subject to speculation, with Real Madrid and Barcelona never hiding their interest in the player. However, Fabregas has usually denied rumours that he will be leaving Arsenal in the near future.

His Dad, however, claims that Fabregas' dream is a move back to Barcelona, where he started his career. If Fabregas was to move, it would probably be as big a loss to Arsenal as losing Ronaldo was to United. OK, Fabregas isn't as prolific as Ronaldo, but he is the key to Arsenal's success. The best passer in the Premier League without a doubt, as well as probably one of the cleverest footballs on earth.

Who would step in for Fabregas would he to leave? Nasri, a very good player but doesn't have the 'Fabregas effect'. Ramsey a terrific talent with massive potential, but one for the future not now. Diaby possibly, but yet to prove himself as a great player. Every other midfielder e.g Denilson and Song, are too defensive and will not create much. So basically, what I'm trying to say is that if Arsenal lose Fabregas, their screwed.
