Milan ready to offer Huntelaar + cash for Vidic

Wednesday, February 17, 2010

Italian giants AC Milan are preparing to offer Manchester United Jan Klaas Huntelaar + a sum of money in order to sign Nemanja Vidic. Vidic is apparently not happy with life at United and Milan are ready to fight with Real Madrid for his signature.

According to The Mirror, Milan see Vidic as an excellent replacement for the ageing Alessandro Nesta. The Serbian centre half's wife is also apparently not happy with life in Manchester. Huntelaar only moved to AC Milan 12 months for £14 million from Real Madrid, but they would be willing to let the Dutch striker move on in order to secure Vidic.

One man who would be keen to see Huntelaar at Old Trafford is Edwin Van Der Sar. He expressed his admiration for his international colleague.

"I played with Klaas for two or three years with the national team and he's a great goalscorer.''

I worry about Huntelaar's future should he move to United. He has great talent, no doubt but he would find it hard to get into the United first 11. I mean, with Rooney playing so well, along with Berbatov would Huntelaar be a first team regular, probably not.
