Wayne Bridge won't be going to the World Cup

Thursday, February 25, 2010

It hasn't even started yet, but already there is trouble in the England squad. Everyone has heard about John Terry's affair with Wayne Bridge's wife, and it has now caused Wayne Bridge to quit the English international team.

Terry has a tough couple of weeks, axed as England captain and off form, not to mention slated in the papers nearly every day. Well, I think he deserves it but there is a further consequences of his actions. Not only does it make Wayne Bridge feel so uncomfortable that he does not want to even be in England squad, it could also prove a headache for Fabio Capello. If Ashley Cole doesn't not recover in time, which is unlikely, England will be short on left backs. Speaking of Ashley Cole, he is officially the biggest twat of all time. Cheating on your wife is bad enough, but when its Cheryl Cole, that's just criminal. Back to Bridge, here is what he had to say on the subject.

"It has always been an honour to play for England. However, after careful thought I believe my position in the squad is now untenable and potentially divisive''.

I don't blame Bridge for not wanting to play, he would probably end up tackling John Terry. However, I don't why he is turning down the chance to play in the World Cup, more than likely his last one, especially when England have such a good chance to win it.
