Blues preparing Torres bid

Thursday, March 18, 2010

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich will give Carlo Ancelotti £100 million to spend in next summers transfer window. The pair met yesterday to discuss transfer possibilities and apparently Fernando Torres is number 1 on their list.

Ancelotti has a huge list of players he would like to bring in including a new goalkeeper, Maicon, Schweinstieger, Sergio Aguero and of course Fernando Torres. Whether £100 million will be enough for all them remains to be seen, but I'm sure the player all Chelsea fans would like to see in blue next season is Fernando Torres.

With a lot of new faces likely to be coming in at Chelsea, several will be leaving. Fringe players such as Paulo Ferreira, Hilario and Juliano Belletti will be told they can move clubs, whilst Deco is already a near certainty to go and Nicolas Anelka will leave if he fails to agree a contract extension, although I'm sure Ancelotti will be desperate to keep the French star.

"Carlo has the full backing of Roman and that will mean the kind of money being spent this summer that we haven't seen since Mourinho was in charge.''

Personally I don't want to see Chelsea spend all this money. Of course its good to see some quality coming into the Premiership from abroad but with Chelsea and Man City outbidding everyone else it could ruin next seasons campaign.
